The first ever rider developed, rider judged, head-to-head wakesurf went
down last Friday night on Lake Minnetonka in MN. The LF PRO kicked off a
weekend of competitive wake surfing unlike any other before it.
The LF PRO featured Axis boats and 13 of the world¹s best pro wakesurfers
competing for $5000 cash in a heat style, win to advance format.
Picture this (or look at the picsŠ): 2 boats running down the lake, side
by side, with competing riders behind each of them. The judges are all
other pro riders who are riding in the boats. Rider ³A² watches rider ³B²
throw a huge trick, it is now on rider A to throw something even BIGGER in
order to win the heat. At the end of the run, the pro riders in the boat
determine who won the heat, and the winner advances to the next bracket.
In the end, LF Pro Athlete, Tommy Czechien, ended up with the top spot in
the first ever LF PRO.
The awards ceremony and after party were held on the wharf at Lord
Fletchers Old Lake Lodge on Lake Minnetonka. ³This is the type of format

The Nautique 10,000 Lakes Open will be the first wakesurfing event to hold
part of the event at night. Can’t wait to see the G23 all lit up!

The Infinite Wake crew invited Austin Keen for a wake surf clinic in Kennewick Washington. Austin showed up with his mad skills and helped teach locals how to wakesurf during this two day session.
